Your favorite SharePoint User Group now sports User Participation badges! These icons represent how active members are. Pretty much anything you do here will help increase this score, which in turn advances your badge. Should be fun for the whole family!
Here’s how it works. An action point value is a community-based variable stored in the system. A community administrator has the ability to change weighted values of certain actions. Every action that a user takes will contribute to individual overall point value (score). Every action that each user takes will also contribute to the overall community score and will recalculate the average user score (AVGScore).
Example (who LOVES math!): Joe currently has 100 points and the community of 50 users has a total score of 10000 points. Joe logs in to site (+1), then rates Sally’s blog post five stars (+5), then starts a new discussion under an existing group (+100). Joe now has total score of 206. The community now has a total score of 10106, with an average user score of 202. This would make Joe a Level 3 (Content Leader) user as per the default scoring algorithm.
The grid above allows administrators to set the Label's, associated Image, and minimum percentage ranking for a user to achieve a particular category based on the calculation described above. All values may be modified.
