MOSS Gathers no Rolling Stones

In the Big Inning

My adventure in SharePoint began 8 months ago.

While working as an application tester at Ft. Huachuca, AZ, I saw a job opportunity back home in the Inland Northwest with the Spokane Teachers Credit Union (STCU).

The job announcement was asking for a RedDot and SharePoint administrator. Red who? SharePoint? Like that distant cousin who gets brought up in family conversations from time to time, I had heard of SharePoint.

In fact when I was the Web Application Developer at North Idaho College, we discussed moving from our home grown CMS to SharePoint.

So, I had heard about it, but hadn't worked with it or RedDot.

Took a chance and applied for the job. Thought my 20+ years in the computer field would at least get me a phone interview. It did, and it resulted in an in person interview, then an offer and the next thing I knew, I was the new Content Systems Administrator for STCU.

First project: Migrate the intranet from SPS 2003 to MOSS 2007.

And we are off and running!

See ya along the way.
